Effective June 1 2021 Portage & District Recycling will no longer be able to accept any unknown or unlabeled paint or household hazardous waste, such as corrosive, caustic, flammable, oxidizing liquids etc. ENSURE all products left at the depot are in the original container with the original label clear and easy to identify. Any materials not in the original container e.g. milk jugs, glass food jars, plastic food container etc will NOT be accepted. This change is being made to ensure regulatory compliance, as well as to protect the health and safety of our staff that are handling the materials.
